“ As a So Cal transplant aching for the goods to create my favorite Mexican dishes, I found this little gem about 20 years ago and have been a loyal shopper since. Great, fresh tortillas, an amazing butcher case. They've got lots of cuts and organ meats not available in regular grocery stores and you can't go wrong with their "aranchera" cut of skirt steak for grilling carne asada at home (they offer a free pre-prepared house marinade for your carne asada - just ask for the meat "prepareda"), a small but good assortment of inexpensive fresh produce, fresh Mexican cheeses cut to order (butcher case) and their house made salsas and guac are exceptional (also in the butcher case). You can also grab fresh pan dulce and typical Mexican sweets if your sweet tooth is getting you. The staff is fully bilingual but they are also very kind and patient if you want to try out your rusty Spanish ;) ”

“ We decided to try another Mexican market that was a little closer to us. For being a smaller market it has a pretty good size meat Dept. We got some carne asada meat. Which turned out to be very tender and made delicious tacos. I also picked out some Mexican jelly filled pastry rolls sliced that were so soft and better than I imagined. Definitely need to try more of their pastries next time. The market is small and basic. No frills, but everyone was friendly and helpful. I also have to go back because they had a good selection of Mexican candy!! ”
